At our state-of-the-art R&D technical centre, we develop innovative solutions for you day for day to meet and optimise individual process requirements and also to test different methods and processes together with your own materials and adhesives:

  • Processing of high-viscosity adhesives and sealants such as butyl and bitumen for requirements in the automotive and construction industries.

  • Economical continuous or intermittent bead, spray or surface application of hotmelts in complex production processes for gluing textiles, nonwovens, foils, retainers, paper and cardboard in the automotive, furniture, packaging and graphics industries.

  • Contactless curtain coating with adhesive grammages from 2g/m².

An investment in new adhesive application technology should pay off in the long term. That is why our in-house technical centre offers you the opportunity to test applications and processes under real production conditions before you make the investment.

Working with you, we simulate your application, analyse material behaviour and process flows, and develop the optimal solution for your requirements. This allows technical risks to be identified at an early stage, different approaches to be compared, and investment decisions to be made on a sound basis.

The biggest advantage for you is that, even before the project begins, you gain sound insights into the feasibility, quality and cost-effectiveness of your application. This saves development time, reduces costs and increases process reliability during subsequent series production.

Our technical centre is designed as a development and testing facility and offers the ideal conditions for developing and optimising customised adhesive and sealant processes.

The equipment includes melting units manufactured in-house (drum melters, bag melters, tank units and extruders) for the on-demand melting and dispensing of a wide variety of adhesives and sealants. This technology is complemented by modern application systems for spray, bead, multi-line and surface application, as well as measuring and analysis equipment for process monitoring.

In addition, coating lines with integrated winding technology are available for the production of samples and small batches, with application widths of up to 600 mm and speeds of up to 100 m/min. A 6-axis industrial robot with a 60 kg payload also enables the development and testing of automated adhesive application systems.

Yes. To ensure realistic test results, we prefer to work with your original materials, components and the adhesives or sealants used in your production.

This enables us to replicate actual production conditions as accurately as possible and draw conclusions that can be directly applied to your future manufacturing. Together, we investigate, amongst other things, the optimal adhesive application, suitable process parameters, material consumption, cycle times and the quality of the end product.

Once the test series have been completed, you will receive a detailed evaluation with specific recommendations for your production, and, if desired, we will be happy to provide you with test samples from the trials.

A test in our pilot plant provides certainty, both technically and economically. Different adhesives, application methods and process parameters can be compared under identical conditions before a final decision is made.
