QJ0265 Application systems:
The QJet-System consist of a bag press (PUR-conveying), a piston pump melt unit (EVA conveying) and a book binding slot nozzle for the hot melt application.
The PUR adhesive used for gluing the spine is fused gently in a bag press and fed through the heated hose of the nozzle. The gear pump mounted to the nozzle transports exactly the adhesive quantity calculated by the programmable logic controller (PLC). The starting and end point of the adhesive application for gluing the back as well as the starting and end point for gluing the edges at the nozzles is calculated to the millimetre by a route control. The two edges can be glued with a different adhesive (hot-melt adhesive), since the two systems operate independent of each other.
